My laptop just got a freaking virus. Right after finals week too. Aaaaauuugg, I was going to make so many LPs. I could do it from this computer, but I still have to go out of my way and pay money to get the virus removed. This isn't a real blog post. I'm just so freaking mad. It's not really getting in the way of my LPs, but It is getting in the way of my internetting. And I was working on writing a song, and I was working on Myst part 3. Now I can't do anything.
Now that my nonsensical rambling has been completed I just want to say that I'm going to do a lot of LPing despite my laptops condition.
A place where I can put my video game reviews, artwork, let's plays, and other generic videos for your enjoyment.

Dark Fall Lost Souls:

Part 19
Happy Thanksgiving Everybody! This is late because I went out of town, but the last couple of weeks I've been able to make quite a few videos. I finally got back to Dark Fall, and I finally got a special request from a viewer. That was the Synthesia (well, it was guitar pro) song "One Winged Angel (Advent Children)". I did that one and the song "Fratelli Chase (The Goonies Theme)" from scratch. I probably won't upload anything this week, because I'm out of town, but you never know. I do have my laptop with me.

Part 23
Well, I finally got back to Dead Space after six months. I did all of those videos two weeks ago. I wanted to do more last week, but around Halloween I was busy working on my costume, which probably won't be finished until next year. Then, I got a new ipod to replace my old Steve Job-a-ma-bob. I lost my old one a while back and I was dying without it, so I had to get a new one. I have spent the last several days trying to get all of the songs that I had before back on there, but right now I am only about half of the way.

Creative Title
Penumbra Overture:
Part 26
Synthesia:
Aloha de Chocobo
Hey, I finally got that last recorded penumbra video up. The other one is the son Aloha de Chocobo from FFIX I think. I uploaded that when I was still sick, because I wanted to do something, and I didn't have to talk for it. Anyway I am a day late because my so called "tech smart" friends ruined my wireless internet at a LAN party I went to a couple days ago, and I finally got it working again just now. Anyway, I will be working on getting some more Dead Space and Dark Fall videos next.

Sick Day
Penumbra Overture:
Part 25
Synthesia:
Karma Police
Breaking a Social Norm
Hey, I couldn't remember if I was supposed to post something last Saturday or next Saturday, and I'm sick today so I have plenty of time on my hands. I finally got back to Penumbra. That was a good episode. This is the absolute best Karma Police (by Radiohead) midi that I could find. I could post a video teaching you how to play the guitar part, just ask for it on that video. The last video was a project for sociology. I'm going to delete it and reupload it to my other channel later. I only put it on this channel so that it would be a subtle advertisement for my channel when I show it to my class, which I would have done today if I wasn't sick, so now it will be on Friday. Anyway, I'll do the next bloggish thing a week from Saturday.

First of all, I've decided that during school, I am only going to post blog stuff every other week, because it's easier for me and that seemed to be how things were going anyway. Second of all, that still puts this post a day late. That is because I wanted to finish uploading the last part of my Portal 2 LP. So that's up now. I will start going back to my Dead Space LP soon, but I don't know when for sure.

Ocean (John Butler) cover
This week I wanted to play a song for you. I did it so that you could give me some feedback on it if you had any. I had some time this weekend so I recorded some more Penumbra and Portal 2. I finally beat Portal 2! So you'll get to see that in a couple of weeks. On an unrelated note, I just got a nice new $400 microphone. When I got it, I found out that I needed a new mic stand to use it, but that should arrive soon and my voice will be clearer than ever.

School and laptop and stuff and stuff
Dark Fall Lost Souls:
Part 16
So, I missed last week again. School, and relatives got in the way. Plus, I got an awesome new laptop. It's an Alienware m14x It has a 3 GB video card, 8 GB of ram, a 750 GB hard drive, a 2.2 GHz i7 dual core processor. It only has a 14 in screen but I already had a separate 23 in screen, so that's cool. Some of you might have much better computers, but this laptop is much better than my desktop that I had before, so I'm excited.

Surprising amount of videos for a busy week
Portal 2:
Part 27
Part 28
Part 29
This has been a really busy week for me between work, school preparation, band camp (I'm in the marching band (It's a lot more work that it sounds like)), family, friends, and today the water park. I am really sunburned =( . Anyway, looking back on the videos, I am proud of myself for finding a glitch in Portal 2 (part 27) even if it was really frustrating at the time. I also tried to upload the next video but for some reason my internet stopped working. It's working now, but I'm going to upload the video tomorrow (it's a good one). Also, as you may have noticed, I didn't have time to record any Dark Fall or Penumbra or think about recording some Myst, but my schedule clears up quite a bit next week so expect something.
Oh yeah! I always forget, I'm not going to post any more stories from my college road trip. Long story short: We passed through Portland. We decided that it was also bad city. Partly because of a bad driving experience and partly because we couldn't pump our own gas. Did you know that you can't pump your own gas in Oregon? The lack of sales tax almost makes up for it. Once again, no offense if you live there, but you've just gotten used to it. We drove up the coast, which was beautiful, all the way to Redmond, Washington. After walking through the two-mile-long campus of the University of Utah, the one building campus of Digipen seemed like a dream come true. That clearly wasn't all of the factors that went into my decision, but I decided that Digipen was better for me. It didn't even seem like a bad place to be when the power substation exploded next door. I saw Green Lantern, it sucked, and we came back.

Not much this week, but with reason
Portal 2:
Part 26
I just have this one video for you this week, but I have a good reason for it. Earlier this week I realized that on Steam there was a version of Myst that works on Windows XP. I bought it instantly, but then I was considering making an LP for it. Whenever I considered recording something new for Penumbra or Dark Fall, I thought about possibly LPing Myst. After all, it is easily in my top 10 games of all time list. So I'm still not sure whether I will or won't, but I will definitely go back to my regular LPs. Well, maybe not next week. It's going to be a busy one.

Hey, finally someone requested an instrument change on one of my Synthesia videos. They wanted to learn the organ part on the piano. That made me realize something. YouTube should be giving me crap about using copyrighted material. These videos are put up to teach people how to play a song, so my videos should be able to use that copyrighted music legally, because it's now protected under fair use. Plus, the song itself is public domain so I shouldn't have to worry about that anyway. All of this may be legal mumbo-jumbo to you, but I happy that I realized it.

I'm Back!
Portal 2:
Part 22
Hey, I finally did something this week, and I recorded another Portal session today. I would have done it yesterday and had another thing for you today, but there was a huge storm going through here. The power kept going out, and I even lost my cable for a while. So I decided to wait until today. I also would have probably had enough time to upload something today, but I spent that time watching horror movies. I saw Dead Snow, which was a good movie, but the plot had some major flaws. Then I saw The Fog. John Carpenter is a genius. But anyway, expect more from me next week, and watch some of John Carpenter's stuff. It's good.

Sad Face =(
Sorry guys (and lady guys), I haven't done anything new this week. Technology just hates me this week. First of all, I was trying to edit the last Portal video that I had ready before I went on the road trip but didn't realize that I had it until this week. Normally I use Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate for that, but this week it kept freezing on me, so I decided to find another program (which is not an easy task, because I need it to process m2ts files (Who uses m2ts files!?)). I tried this thing called AVS, but that kept crashing on me and I couldn't figure out why. I am now trying to look for a file converter so that I can edit it in something more reliable like Windows Movie Maker. It will sacrifice some of the video's quality, but at least I will have something new. Also, my PC recording stuff hasn't been working how I would like it to. I recently found a new way to record the audio for my PC LPs. It would make it so you could hear the game sounds a lot better, hear me a little better, and for survival horror games it would get me more into the game, so I would be completely freaked out. Unfortunately, whenever I try to record the audio that way my computer lags like crazy, so I would have recorded something new if this had worked. So I will go back to my old way of recording audio, but I will be trying to find a way to reduce lag with the new method.

Back to Work
I have been away for a while. I have been on that trip that I was talking about (and will continue to talk about) for a week and a half. I got back on Tuesday night and was planning on getting back to recording LP's the next day, but that didn't happen. I just have so much that I have to catch up on. There's all of the YouTube videos that I usually watch. There's emails that I need to check. Plus there is my actual job that needs getting back to, so I really haven't had a lot of time to record LP's. I was planning on recording something tonight, but I'm exhausted from hauling tons of crap (not literally) around all day. I will definitely get back to recording next week. I do have some good news though. Well, it might be bad news for you, but it's good for me. I decided not to make videos for the reviews that I made. That doesn't mean that I won't be reviewing the occasional game, but I won't make a video for it. I mainly made that decision because I ended up using a lot of pictures that I would get in copyright trouble for using, and it was also taking up quite a bit of my valuable time. Unfortunately, some of that time that I freed up will be put towards something new that I am going to start doing. You'll see soon.

Road Trip: Day 3
We woke up and had some breakfast and went directly over to the University of Utah, or "the U", for a meeting with some high school admissions guy and a tour of the campus. the tour was good, but the U has a two and a half square mile campus. Walking around all day made me really appreciate small colleges. The only weird thing was that there were a bunch of elementary school age kids there. I couldn't figure out why kids that young would be at college, especially during the summer. When we left I soon realized that Salt Lake City was really Bad City in disguise. No offense if you live there, but you've just had time to get used to the badness of the city. We decided to try and find some guitar strings, because my guitar was basically unusably in its condition. None of the places that we stopped at had guitar strings, so it was Bad City. When we were trying to leave all of those places we couldn't make a left turn to get out, because someone put a median in the middle of the road like they were trying to make every street a boulevard. That made it so we had to make a right turn and find the next good place to make a u-turn, so it was Bad City. After we gave up on looking for guitar strings, we decided to go to the movie theater to see Super 8. On one road we were going down, there was a light rail train track goin to our right. When we wanted to make a right turn we followed the track around the bend, assuming that it was going to stay in the right place, but that almost took us into opposing traffic, so we almost died, and so it was Bad City. When we got to the theater, we couldn't find anywhere to park, so we ended up parking on bum-street. There were so many homeless people there. Most of them were lined up at the homeless shelter/soup kitchen, but there were still a bunch just sitting on the sidewalk, and the strangest thing was that right next door there was a kindergarten or daycare center with kids outside on a playground. So it was Bad City. Super 8 was a great movie. It was everything I hoped it would be. It was like a cross between ET, The Goonies, and Alien. In a good way. The only problem was that I got a large drink, and I drank the whole thing in the first five minutes, so I was holding it for the whole movie. I would have left to use the restroom, but the movie was so good I don't want to miss anything. After the movie, I got my free refill for my drink, and we walked back to bum-street. I thought I was going to be mugged, because they could see that I had money for the large drink, so it was Bad City. When we were going back to the hotel, we ended up driving on this little road. I'm not even sure if it was a road. It was one lane of traffic with the light rail track going down the middle, and there were cars parked on the side of road that took up half of the lane even thought they were parked so that the car was taking up all of the space on the side walk. So my friend was driving half way on the train track, because it was unavoidable, and there were signs every ten feet that said, "don't drive on the tracks", and I had to look behind us to see if a train was coming, so it was Bad City. We returned to our hotel and went to sleep.

Road Trip: Day 2
When we got up in the morning, we drove across the street to McDonald's for breakfast. While crossing the street, we almost got hit by two cars. That was not our best morning, but for breakfast they messed up our order so I got an extra sausage egg mcmuffin, and that made our order come to fourteen dollars exactly. How often does that happen (in a state with sales tax)? When we were leaving Moab, I noticed that almost every hotel there was an "inn", which was weird. It is a small town that pretty much only goes down one street, but I counted fourteen inns. After that we visited Arches National Park, because we were only driving from Moab to Salt Lake City that day, and that is not a long drive. Arches was a big disappointment. We didn't want to do much walking because we are both very lazy, so we went to all of the arches that were visible form the road. There were only about five of them, and it took us over an hour to see them all. I don't think it was worth the ten dollar admission. So we went on towards Salt Lake City. Something that might not be very interesting that happened (that I'm going to tell you anyway) was that at a rest area there was a sign telling us about a landmark. We couldn't figure out which one of the little hills it was saying was important. As my friend was taking a picture of what he thought it was he stepped off the sidewalk and almost fell down the steep hill we were on. He blames it on uneven sidewalks, but I say he is just a spaz (American meaning, NOT the UK meaning). The trip was kind of uneventful after that until we got close to Salt Lake City. I think we were driving through Provo and I notice some billboards that were advertising for java developers (programmers, not coffee makers) and that was just weird for me, but at the time I thought that going to college near that place would be nice considering I want to study video game design or programming. Later we arrived in Salt Lake City, and I never imagined how beautiful it is there. It is surrounded by mountains and it has the lake to one side. We got to the hotel, and it was better there than any hotel that I've been in recently. We went to the campus of the University of Utah, which is where I was looking at, to make sure we knew how to get there for the next day when we were getting a tour. The campus has a great view of everything. It was great. So we went back to the hotel room. I got out my guitar and another string broke, so I was down to four strings. We went to sleep.

Road Trip: Day 1
I went on a road trip this week with a friend to look at colleges. I left from Colorado towards Utah on Saturday (a week ago). Not much happened the first day. One thing that happened was that the Colorado River was flooding and at a few points on the highway the road going the other way was underwater. That made some huge rapids right by the side of the rode. After that the next thing that happened was several hours down the road. We stopped at a bridge somewhere near Moab, Utah called the Dewey Bridge. We stopped because a sign said it was something historical. When we got to it there was nothing there. The suspension wires were all hanging down not holding anything up. I wondered what happened to it so I read the sign. It didn't mention anything about the bridge collapsing, so I figured that the river knocked it down that day, because it was going over the Colorado River. Later we made it into Moab, and everything was beautiful there, so we went to our hotel, which was the least expensive one there and it cost more than twice as much as anywhere else that we stayed. After that we tried to find a place to eat dinner. One place called The Blue Pig looked nice until we saw seven cop cars parked outside. So I thought, "Oh, now I get the restaurant's name: it's blue because they're blues, and it's pig because they're pigs. I they only served donuts, then they would have every police stereotype taken care of." So we ate somewhere else. We went back to the hotel, and I wanted to play some guitar before going to sleep, but when I was tuning it, the high E string broke, and I didn't bring any spares so I was stuck with only five strings. Finally I did last weeks blog and we went to sleep after a long day of driving.
Pixel Art
Hey, I've been on the road all this week so I don't have much for you. I also didn't have many pictures on my flash drive for you, but I have a couple and a good story of all the things that happened this week.
This is my picture of Faith from Mirror's Edge. I thought that it was a great game despite all of the extreme first person view that makes everyone sea-sick.

This is the first piece of pixel art that I have ever done. The last time that I uploaded pixel art I said that I might upload this picture, so I did.
I will put the road trip stories in the next few posts

I completely forgot about this yesterday. I forgot to upload a video AND forgot to make a blog post. Well, at least I remembered today. In other news I am going out of town next week, so I can't guarantee that I will have as much uploads as I usually do, but I will try.

Summer Vacation!
Portal 2:
Part 17
Penumbra Overture:
Part 16
Dark Fall Lost Souls:
Part 8
It is finally summer vacation, and I passed all of my classes (barely). What that means for you is more videos, more often. I will have a summer job getting in the way of my video making, but the hours are flexible. I didn't have many videos this week, but I can probably give you seven new videos next week.

Terrible FEAR News!
I was just clearing up some space on my computer by uninstalling infrequently used games on Steam. I saw The two FEAR expansions that came with the game and tried to uninstall them, because I haven't played them yet and I don't plan on playing them later, because FEAR isn't that great of a game. When I deleted the local content, it also deleted the regular game. I will have to play the game again up to the point that I am at (and beat either Penumbra or Dark Fall) before I can continue that Let's Play.

Not much this week
Portal 2:

Part 16
I have even less this week. That is partially because I am really busy with school, but that problem will be solved inn a week. It is also because I ran out of pre-recorded videos, so I need to record some more. I should have some spare time this weekend to play some Penumbra and Portal.

Part 14
If you have been watching closely, you may have noticed that I didn't really stick to my new format this week. You may have also noticed that because there is only four videos this week. I have good reasons for this. First! I haven't had any time alone, so I couldn't record anything new. I am planning on doing another Penumbra LP next. Second! I have been really busy with school. There are only two weeks left of the school year, so I have tons of projects due. Third! I'm kind of lazy.

As you might have noticed if you have been watching for my videos this week, I have changed my upload routine. Before this week, I would record videos when I could, and upload them all at once at the end of the week. Now I've found a way to give you more videos every week, and have less stress from having to upload everything. Now I upload one or two videos every day, so it is never too much at a time, and I just record in longer sessions, so that I will have videos to upload for a while. For instance, I recorded my Portal 2 LP for two hours in the last session, and that will probably take me another week and a half to upload, and by that time I will have more videos to give. So in the future you can expect more videos that come out more consistently.

This has been an exciting week with the release of Portal 2. I just can't get over that I'm finally playing it. Not to the extent that I was excited for Starcraft 2, but still very excited. I've already recorded another two hours of the Portal LP, but I will be uploading those at a slower pace. Additionally, I'm happy that I was able to get back to my PC LP's, but I still have no idea what to do in Dark Fall. And on a side note, I watched No Country for Old Men today and would suggest it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

No videos for you!
I don't have any videos ready, but I have a very good reason. I pre-ordered Portal 2, but I had to wait for the disk to get here. If I got the game when it came out, I would have had some videos for you, but I just got it today and it will take time to put the LP videos on YouTube. So expect a lot of videos, including Portal 2 videos, next week.

Myst: Book of Ti'ana
Introduction
Part 1 - Echoes in the Rock
Part 2 - Stone, Dust, and Ashes
I didn't have a lot of time to record any new videos this week, because I've spent all of that time uploading last week's videos. I thought that this would be a good opportunity to upload my Myst animation series from my other channel: madmonkeymud. These videos started off as a school project that I made after reading the book. When I was finished I decided to add a few scenes, remove the last part, and upload it to YouTube. It takes me about a year or so to make each part, because for the most part I am doing this on my own, but I have started working on part three.

It takes about two hours to edit, and another thirty to sixty minutes to upload to YouTube. So that's about 44 hours to upload the videos after I finished recording them Friday night. Plus I've been busy with school, and I've been making a video for the review that I posted earlier today. The reviews will always be posted on here once I finish writing them (this week's and next week's excepted), but a more entertaining video will be posted on YouTube a few weeks later. I don't know how many videos I will be able to upload next week, but surely this week's videos will make up for it.

"Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty" Review
I, obviously, am reviewing Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty. For this game I only have one word to say, "YEAH!" but unfortunately the world does not appreciate 1 word reviews so I'm going to have to go into more detail. First of all, I have been waiting for this game for at least five years before the game was released, ever since I saw that fake trailer featuring the hybrid, which they actually put in the game. And they first announced the release date as three and a half years before it actually was released. And this long wait annoyed all of us Starcraft one fans, but made the line "Hell, it's about time" even more meaningful. For those who don't know, Starcraft takes place in the distant future in the void of space. There are three major races of people: Terrans, which are essentially humans; Protoss, which are a highly advanced alien race; and the Zerg, which if memory serves, are another kind of alien that were genetically experimented on and they evolve at an extraordinary rate. All three of these races have their advantages and disadvantages, but they are essentially evenly matched in a fight, which is what they have to do. The Terrans are each fighting for their own reasons as humans do, the Protoss are fighting to maintain balance in the universe, and the Zerg are fighting just to burn everything in their path until there is nothing left but themselves.
[Single Player]
[Campaign]
The Wings of Liberty Campaign, unlike the campaign of Starcraft one and Brood War, only had one races' storyline covered. In this game it happened to start on Terran. The story starts out on the planet of Mar Sara, and you are introduced once again to the character Jim Raynor, and a new character, Tychus Findlay. You do a series of missions on Mar Sara as Jim Raynor until you eventually end up aboard his friend's Battle Cruiser called the Hyperion, and that is pretty much all I can say before the storyline splits. It goes down five different paths: Colonist Missions, Covert Missions, Rebellion Missions, Artifact Missions, and Prophecy Missions. But in the long-run, the goal of the storyline is to take down the leader of the Zerg, Sarah Kerrigan AKA "the Queen of Blades". The campaign missions are a lot like the regular games except you have a specific task to do, and when your not in the game you can purchase upgrades with credits that you earn by completing missions, which I thought was a very nice feature.
[Challenges]
I personally thought that this was one of the best things that they put into the game. This section was put in to help players gain better strategies in their playing. I really like Starcraft, but I was never very good at it, and now that I've played through all of the challenges, I've noticed that I've gotten significantly better. You do specific missions just like the campaign, but on a smaller scale, and each mission was designed to train you in a certain ability. The only problem is that there are (at the time that this was created) only nine challenges. I would have loved for there to be more. This is just a really effective training method for Starcraft. I just don't know what else can be said.
[vs AI]
This is basically like the standard match against real players, except it is against AI. I'll go into the regular matches in a minute, so I'll just be evaluating the AI's performance. The greatest thing about the computer player that they changed from the first game is that it can't see what the human player is doing without scouting. In the previous game this is why I could never beat the computer. It would be doing its own thing, and then without any scouting at all, it would see that I was rushing zealots, and it would make the perfect counter-attack. So I would get there and be totally annihilated. And I would shout many words that I will leave censored in this review, but the problem was solved in this game. Another problem they solved from the first game, is that now the AI can only input commands as fast as a human. That is why I've grown a hatred for the zerg. The computer would always rush me with unreasonable speed. Luckily they fixed that. They also added maps that are made for beginners, where the AI can't rush you, and that was helpful when I was training.
[Multi-Player]
This is where the bulk of the game lies, and the Blizzard team did a great job of making this work well. If you don't know how this game works I suggest you watch some game-play videos, because explaining this entirely would take far too long. So I'll keep this in terms of the old game. Sure they added a few units for each of the races, but unfortunately they got rid of a few units that were some of my favorites such as the firebat, dragoon, dark archon, interceptor, corsair, scout, arbiter, and I don't know exactly for zerg, because I hate them. It is very sad. The way that you are set up against other people is done very well. When I just started playing I won the first 4 matches, so They put me up against really good players. I couldn't win a single match for a day or so after that, but eventually, everything evened out, and now I only fight people who are nearly my level. Overall, this game plays very well. The different races were definitely equally matched. Those people at Blizzard know what they're doing.
[Results]
The Achievements in this game made it so that I will definitely playing this game for years to come... Well, any Starcraft 2 game. With everything put into account, I give this game a 9.25 out of 10.
[In Addition]
[Beta Testing]
Nothing after this point will count towards the score of the game. I was proud to participate in the beta testing of this game. It is the first game that I've ever beta tested. Unfortunately I was unhappy to see that nothing that I told them was problem was fixed. I suggested that there should be a cancel button when loading a game with someone. I thought it would be necessary if the load is taking a very long time and you decide, "forget it, I'll just quit and play solitaire, because I'm a loser who lives in the basement of my mom's basement." but no they didn't add that to the game. The other thing that I brought to their attention, was that sometimes, when you start up the game, the screen will be pushed to the left about an inch (2.54cm), depending on your screen size, and so you lose an important part of your screen. Luckily for you I figured out how to fix this. You just go into settings, and turn down your resolution one or two notches, but it would of been a lot easier if they just fixed it themselves.
[Collectors Edition]
Like I said before, I am a huge Starcraft fan, so I had to spend the extra $40 to buy the collectors edition. The behind the scenes DVD is great, I loved seeing everything that went into the game. The music CD was just as good. I love music, and I will tell you that the music in this game is phenomenal. It comes with a book with the art of Starcraft 2. What they have in the book is good, but I wanted more. It also comes with a World of Warcraft pet, and it would be cool to have a Thor as a pet, but I don't play WOW. I just don't have enough time. The game comes with a comic book, and this must have been the worst comic book I've ever read. The story was terrible and pointless, but I'm still going to hang on to it. Maybe in a few years it will be worth something to the right buyer. The dog tag/2GB USB drive is alright. It comes with the original Starcraft, and Starcraft Brood War on it, so I can play it literally anywhere. The dog tag's appearance is great, and if nothing else, it is a conversation starter. The only bad thing about it is the chain that it comes with. I couldn't get the chain to fit in the hole it's supposed to go in, and even if I did, I wouldn't put it around my neck like it was made for, because I'm not a weirdo. I just keep it in my pocket. There is also some DLC that you can only get with the collector's edition. They're just profile pictures that are pretty cool I guess. I use the Diablo Marine. It is some great intimidation. Or not. But perhaps the greatest part of getting the collectors edition, is the case that it comes in ("kksssshhhhh" sound effect).

Guitar Hero Custom Song: "Jojo the Monkey"

I have a lot of videos this week. It's weird, I had more free time to record videos this week (the week I came back from spring break) than last week (spring break). It is going to take me a while to put up the videos. Right now I have these two videos ready, but I will be uploading them to YouTube as soon as I have the videos ready, as opposed to my usual way of uploading them all at once. When all of this week's videos are done I will put up a blog post with a link to all of them.

1 video, 1 anouncement
Dead Space: Part 10
I just put up this video, because I couldn't get it to combine with the videos that I will upload this weekend.
More importantly, I will start putting some game reviews on this site. I won't be uploaded during the weekends like the videos and pictures, but will come out when I finish them. I have two right now that I have had for a while, so I will give those to you sometime next week and the week after. Then I will write reviews whenever I finish a game, and I will upload them as soon as I am finished writing.

Synthesia Song: One Winged Angel
Surprisingly, I was able to put up six videos this week. I have been REALLY busy this week. I'm helping my mom get ready to sell her house, and I keep having to haul things back and forth between her house and our storage space. Then I have to clean everything in the house and everything. But my mom has been making me very angry. She saw my Starcraft 2 collector's edition box and thought, "Hey, this would be much better if I rip the back panel off, fold it in half, and throw it in the garbage even though I would have to go out of my way to do it and I never look at or use this box anyway." Then she threw away my skateboard. Not my good one, but this one had a Digimon season one design on the bottom, and it is probably a collector's item now. Then she threw away something that was attached to my Theremin. So I am pretty angry. At least I got everything back out of the trash, but who knows, maybe she threw more things away that I don't even know about.
I will probably have more Dead Space for you next week. I had a problem with it. You'll see.

No videos this week
I had a busy week last week, so I wasn't able to record any new videos. I also don't have any old videos ready, and I'm going out of town next week so I might not have anything for you next week, but we can hope. This week I'm going to put up some of my pixel art. If you know me from some of my other stuff (not the mudsgameroom YouTube channel) you might have already seen these, but I hope you will still enjoy them.
This is Link from the Legend of Zelda games. I think the picture I based this off of was from Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, but I can't be sure. This was one of my first pieces of pixel art and I think it is one of my best.
This is Altair from Assassin's Creed. I don't have much to say about him. No interesting stories. =(
Sephiroth! from FFVII. If you don't know what that stands for, then 1) I'm sorry for you and 2) LOOK IT UP! That's a good game I had to buy two of them, because I didn't want anything to happen to the first one. This picture is actually a remake of the first piece of pixel art I ever did. I might upload that sometime.
These two other characters are also in the Final Fantasy series. The first is Vivi, and the second is Freya. They are my two favorite characters in the ninth game, and the ninth game is my second favorite game in the series. These are my most complicated pieces of pixel art. I would have doubled the size of the pictures, but then the files would be too big to upload. If you would like to admire my work, feel free to copy/paste them into Paint or
Photoshop or something, but if you use them anywhere, please give me credit.

Let's Play: Penumbra Overture [Blind] - WOOOOOOO!
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5
Part 6
WOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Yeah! kskcnoiehgbuebfequobfco! I'm excited about this! That was if you couldn't tell from my scream typing. I LOVED Amnesia: the Dark Descent and this game was created by the same five guys. "Hey, did you say five guys?" Yes, anonymous reader, I did. These games are utterly amazing in proportion to the man power available, or for any amount of workers for that matter. The only complaint I have about this is: all of the games seem a lot alike, but that doesn't stop me from being scared out of everything that I could possibly be scared out of. I feel like I haven't talked about anything personal regarding the game and this week's gaming experience, but that's just because not much happened. That is why I only uploaded videos for Penumbra. I didn't have enough time for Dead Space or FEAR.

Japan Earthquake
I had to make a post today due to the earthquake in Japan. Even though the tsunami hit on almost the complete opposite side of the Earth, I feel like it hit close to home. I would like to give a shout-out to my friend, Tuntuku. He lives in Yamagata, Japan, (or somewhere close to there) which is close to Sendai, which is the city that was hit hardest by the tsunami. Luckily he is alright; the area is just having a blackout. I just wanted to let everyone know that my mind has been on Japan all day and that it will be for some time, and I hope that others will do the same. I will probably post my regular blog tomorrow, but don't be surprised if it is posted on Sunday.

Dead Space Part 9
Guitar Hero Custom Song: "The Scumm Bar" - Guitar
Guitar Hero Custom Song: "The Scumm Bar" - Bass
Synthesia Song: "Sam & Max Hit the Road Theme"
Wow! I got a lot done. Eight videos this week. Well, to be fair, I only had to upload the last three. I've had them recorded for some time. I have decided to start working on a third LP series, which will slow down my progress in FEAR, but I think you will like this next series a lot. I will try to keep working on everything that I am already, but I am approaching the end of the quarter for school, so I might not have as much time for this. I am planning to record some of the new series tonight, so you can count on seeing that next week, but I can't be certain for anything else.

Let's Play: FEAR - Week 2
Part 4
Part 5
Part 6
I really wanted to get my next set of Dead Space videos up this week too, which is why this post came out a day after the FEAR videos, but I am having trouble editing the videos. It takes about 2 hours to create a 10 minute video, and so far I have had to redo one of the videos four times. I will have more Dead Space for you next week. I've also been having trouble with the FEAR videos. I had to play through this section 3 times before I got it right (but don't tell the people who only see it on YouTube) . So I already knew when everything was coming, so I wasn't really scared in video 6. It just surprised me the first time, and I wanted you to see that. The weirdest part was the first 2 times I played it, I didn't have any of the technical problems that I had the last time.

Let's Play: Dead Space [Blind] - Day 1 - Yippie!
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Wow! this game is better than I thought it would be. It is well on its way to becoming almost as scary as Amnesia. As you heard last week, I got this game for my birthday, and I've been holding off playing it, because I generally don't like third person shooters. I only wanted this because I heard it was scary, and with Dead Space 2 released, I think that my video will get some publicity. I like this game a lot. In fact I've already recorded the second set of videos before these were done uploading to YouTube. They will be significantly better than these ones. You may be wondering: "Hey, what happened to FEAR?", well I started making the next set of videos, but I was interrupted early on in the first video, and I wasn't able to get back to it this week. You shouldn't mind that anyway, because you have some nice Dead Space for you.
Back to last week's birthday rant. I got Call of Duty: Black Ops. Normally I don't play Call of Duty games but this was recommended by a lot of people. So I asked for it for my birthday, and received it... on two platforms. PC and PS3. That's alright I guess, because I can play multiplayer with everyone on both platforms, but I think I will only play the campaign on the PlayStation. I haven't been able to get it to work on PC yet, but I read a few solutions on some forums. I'll let you know if that works soon. Also, I didn't mention this last week, but I got Rock Band 3. You may have realized, because of some of my previous videos, that I am normally a Guitar Hero guy. I only got this game because of the new pro instruments. I am really enjoying the keyboard, but I didn't get the pro guitar yet. I am going to wait until the six-string guitar is released. It's weird, after E3 I heard so much about the pro guitars, but after just a couple weeks, they only were talking about the button guitar. I'm not sure what happened there, but I heard that the six-string is coming out in March. I can't wait.

Let's Play: FEAR - It Begins
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
I finally was able to upload my first Let's Play. I decided to play FEAR, because I am in search of very scary games (plus FEAR and two expansion packs were available on Steam all for $5). I had just beaten Amnesia: the Dark Descent. That was the scariest game I've ever played, but I just wanted more. So I started to play this, but as you might have heard in last week's post, FRAPS has been giving me some trouble. So this isn't really a blind run through I got a bit farther than I did in these three videos before I realized that it wasn't recording properly. I tried to do things very similarly to my previous run through for your entertainment, but I did a few things differently: like in the first video I changed it so I missed shooting the bird, and I made the audio do terrible things. I hope you enjoy watching these videos, but this is my first ever Let's Play and I will appreciate any advice given about how I can make it better.
On an unrelated note, my birthday was last Thursday! I got a couple shirts for my favorite bands: Gorillaz and Metallica. I got Call of Duty: Black Ops, (I'll rant a little on that next week, this post is getting a little long) but I won't be making a Let's Play of that. I got Dead Space, which works with my search for the best survival horror game. I will be making a Let's Play for that. The most surprising gift that I received was a remote control helicopter. I haven't gotten a actual toy in years; I didn't know what to think about this. It was hard to get started using the helicopter, because the instructions were all in Chinese with a few poorly translated English subtitles. After I got it going I was having a blast, but it crashed and was destroyed on the third flight. I still think it was a great gift even though it is now broken, because it taught me something about myself. First of all, I need an actual toy something that I can hold, not just video games. Secondly, I really like RC helicopters; I knew I liked RC cars, but only the really expensive ones that run on gasoline, but I can get another RC helicopter for about $30.

Guitar Hero World Tour Custom Song: "Monkey Island Theme"
Guitar
Bass
The theme from the Secret of Monkey Island made into a Guitar Hero custom song. I was originally planning on making my first Let's Play this week, but I've been sick so that didn't happen. Luckily, I had this ready earlier. I have a few of these Monkey Island songs, so if I ever fall behind schedule I will put them up. There is just one thing I don't understand about this: Why does it keep making me play as that red-headed girl!? I play this in quickplay. It should make me play as a random character.

Guitar Hero World Tour Custom Song: "Starlight" by Muse
Guitar
Bass
Drums
I made Starlight by Muse into a custom song. Muse is also in my top ten bands along with Daft Punk, but anyway, Like I have said before, I am not very good at playing the Guitar Hero drums. In fact, I was so tired of not being able to play the drums that I turned on auto-kick. It seemed to work for me. It's a good thing that I did turn it on, because I put way too many bass drum hits, because I wrote this before my ears were accustom to hearing accurate drums, and I wrote this by ear. The weirdest thing about this was that I did all of these on quickplay, but every time it made me that red-head girl. I just hope that YouTube doesn't take these videos down, because when I uploaded them, YouTube told me that it matched a song by Muse's record company. I was planning on starting my first Let's Play this week, but Fraps was giving me trouble. I will probably have that working next week.

Guitar Hero 5 Custom Song "Aerodynamic"
Guitar
Bass
Drums
Daft Punk is one of my favorite bands. Definitely my favorite techno/electronic band. Aerodynamic is one of their best songs, and so I had to make this. This was certainly not my best run for any of the instruments, but I really didn't feel like going back and redoing it just for that. I've decided I'm going to try to put a new blog post once a week. Probably on Saturday, but that's not a sure thing. These posts I could only get around to on Sunday, but I'll try. If I don't have anything new, I have a few filler things that I could post, but I will try for once a week.

Guitar Hero 5 Custom Song: "Jesters of the Moon"
Guitar
Bass
Drums
I made this song way back when, and I thought it was fitting as the first post on this blog, because it's a song from great game put into an alright game. I didn't do a very good job in the drum video, but I blame worn out cymbals and a brand new bass pedal that I'm not used to. I'm much better at playing drums on my electronic drum set that got for Christmas that I am so happy about. Anyway, this was a song from Final Fantasy IX. It got stuck in my head so badly that I had to buy the FFIX soundtrack, and that led to learning the song on piano and drums, and then when GH5 came out it, naturally, was the first song I put on it.
